End-of-Summer Fun

Alex is such a smiley little girl! She laughs a lot!

Jack has discovered a new sport...

but nothing can take the place of baseball! We made play dough - but everything he wanted to make with the play dough was baseball-related... balls and bats and players (complete with glove and hat!)... Some kids sleep with blankets or stuffed toys; Jack has taken to going to bed wearing his baseball cap - and sleeping with his two favorite bats! Not my idea of comfort, but then, I'm not a two-year-old baseball fanatic!

Mom Comes to Visit

An August-September Birthday Celebration at Pancho's with Teresa and kids...

Erin and Jack meet us as the Huntington Library.

"Hanging Out..."

Alex likes "hanging out" in her "new" (or, "newly inherited"!) crib...

Jack prefers "hanging out" at the golf course!

Wild Animal Park Sleep-Over

We repeated last summer's Wild Animal Park Sleep-Over. Now that Coco is four, she could go, too - but it meant that Teresa had to accompany us (I'm sorry, Teresa - I know your ideas of camping is "slow room service"!)as they have a ratio of two children per adult. In spite of "roughing it" I think a good time was had by all!

The view from our tent...

And the view from our eating-area...

Homeward Bound! The view in the back seat...

Coco is Four!

Coco is FOUR! (Well, almost! Her birthday is Wednesday, but I have to work, so we celebrated this evening!) That's FINALLY old enough for the Wild Animal Park Sleep-Over, which we will do on Thursday. In the meantime, all she wanted for her birthday was "cheek make-up" so I obliged, wrapping it in a "surprise ball," so that she had to unwind and unwind and unwind to get all her gift.

Modeling her glittery false eyelashes.

Trey is SIX!

Happy Birthday, Trey! I can't believe Trey is SIX years old! Time flies so quickly!

Ah, presents...

How cool is this! A skateboard!

Jack is a big fan of Trey's cake!

Buddies!

"Big Boy Furniture!"

Jack gets "Big Boy Furniture"! It's so exciting!

Alex has inherited his baby furniture, but it isn't quite as exciting for her! She'd far rather have people hold her and talk to her and smile at her so that she can goo and smile back!

Fun and Games

What's more fun - baseball?

Football?

Pillow-fighting?

A good book, perhaps? Do I have to choose?

Alex, of course,is happy just to watch all the excitement!
