Jack had a sleep-over at Granny's, and we went to the Aquarium to see the fish.
Baby Alex had to stay at home because she is too little for a sleep-over.
There are cool toys to play on at the Aquarium, too - including this boat!
A hot dog is a great way to get your minimum daily requirement of mustard! (Mustard is one of the foods foundational to Jack's personal food pyramid!)

Memorial Day Sleep-Over
Coco and Trey help Granny celebrate Memorial Day by coming for a Sleep-Over. (Taylor decided she wanted to have an evening as an "only child" - and we may have created a monster, because Teresa reports she likes it A LOT and wouldn't mind having it a perpetual state of affairs!)
After a very busy and very noisy dinner at Chuckee Cheese, we arrived at Granny's for some quieter activities...
Get out the lemons - we're going to do some "invisible writing"!
Trey always wants to have a "Hot Chocolate Tea Party" using Great Great Grandma's Hot Chocolate set ("very carefully," he tells his little sister, "it's ONE HUNDRED years old!").
"Chocolate is very good for you!" Coco asserts.
Ooops! I wonder if it's good for the table?!!

Grandparents' Day at Curtis
Today was Grandparents' Day at Curtis - quite a wonderful affair, with entertainment provided by each grade level, tours of the campus and classrooms, and a lovely lunch.
The Kindergarten and DK combined to sing "A Spoonful of Sugar" - look for Trey - he's one of the penguins! (I couldn't get a picture of Taylor's First Grade class, but they sang "Do, a deer, a female deer..." and Taylor, ever her mother's daughter, played the xylophone!)
Taylor's classroom exhibits...
Trey shows off the insects he has made...

Welcome, Alexandra!
Alexandra Ryan Laffitte came into the world at 11:44 p.m. on Friday May 16, weighing in at 6 lbs. 6 oz. and 20 inches long. Conveniently, her older brother Jack was having a sleep-over with Cousins Taylor, Trey, and Coco when Mommy went into labor! Erin and Ron arrived at the hospital at 10 p.m., and Alex arrived less than two hours later!
Alex protests being thrust into this world, with all its bright lights!
Proud parents!
